Proctor FAQ
What is a Proctor?
A Proctor or Exam Supervisor is someone who oversees the exam.
Who provides the Proctor?
Proctors can be supplied by either LCS or the Training Organization and it is up to the Training Organization to decide which they prefer.
If you have not taken training and are writing a paper-based exam, LCS arranges the Proctor. Shipping and Proctor fees apply and must be submitting and processed prior to the exam. If you have not taken training and writing a web-based exam, it is your responsibility to secure a Proctor.
What qualifies someone to be a Proctor?
For the exam candidate, a Proctor cannot be a relative or someone who reports directly to you. They need a basic knowledge of computers and does not need to be ITILĀ® certified.
For the training partner, a Proctor needs to complete training with our Proctor Coordinator before the exam.
In either case, the Proctor must sign a non-disclosure form after the exam date has been set up but before the exam details are sent out.
What are the Proctor requirements?
The ITILĀ® certification exams are all closed books. Each exam session requires supervision and monitoring, either from an LCS Proctor or an ATO Proctor.
